Clinical Study on Psoriasis Patients


Abstract
There are a good many therapeutic reports of psoriasis patients in foreign country, but no reports are published in Korea. And author has collected 322 cases during 12 years from 1949 to 1960 and studied the therapeutic value especially 21 systemic methods alone including 4 new methods, 2 physical methods alone and 11 external remedies alone in 188 cases with regular treatment for 2 to 3 months. The results were obtained as follows;
1. Systemic methods:
1) Methods of autoblood injection, autoserum injection, Sodium arsenite, -Asiatic pill, Prehormon, Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Scaling extract injection, bismuth and fore ign protein with milk are respectively effective. Because the disease does not recur in about 20% when complete clearing has bean attained all of the above methods.
2) New methods of hicomin strong injection, oral use of hexavitamin (U.S.P.), vitamin Bs injection and oral use of Iin (chinese medicine) are also effective.
3) Methods of psorimangan injection, vitamin C. cortisone, strong saline injection, Bory¢¥s therapy, mild iodine use and Sach¢¥s therapy are valueless.
2. Physical methods:
Roentgen therapy and strong ultraviolet therapy are valuable.
3. External methods:
Unna-cignolin ointment, Dreuw¢¥s ointment., cignolin oint, and chrysarobin oint. are effective on the region except face and scalp, and Eichhoff¢¥s compound oint., Schaff-Wilkinson¢¥s oint., ammoniated mercury oint. and precipitated sulfur oint, are moderately rewarding on the region of scalp and face.
